Steven J. Frank, MD is the Founder of C4 Imaging and a Professor of Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He started C4 Imaging in 2010 with a heartfelt vision: to give patients and physicians greater confidence in cancer treatment by making imaging clearer and more reliable. Inspired by his daily work caring for patients, Dr. Frank pioneered the world’s first positive-signal MRI marker, Sirius, which opened the door to new possibilities in precision care. This breakthrough became the foundation for C4 Imaging’s growing family of products, including Orion for HDR brachytherapy and Nova for external beam radiation therapy. What began as a single innovation is now a shared mission – to reduce uncertainty, improve outcomes, and bring clarity and peace of mind to every patient’s journey through cancer care.
